Whether you are a lifelong Pioneer member or a new addition to our membership, one of the most valuable tools in your banking experience is the use of online banking. It gives you access to your funds 24/7, every day of the year.
You probably know all about transferring money between accounts and using a debit card, but myPioneer Online and Mobile Banking is full of features and tricks you might not know about. These features can make banking easier in tons of ways. Here are some of the biggest ones all members should know about.
Control Over Your Cards
If you have a Pioneer debit or credit card, you have a lot of control over it, more than you probably think. In myPioneer, you have easy access to report a card lost or stolen, which is great if you are in the middle of a panic and need to shut of access either temporarily or permanently.
You have more control than just that though. On the "Cards" page in myPioneer, you can set spending limits of different kinds to individual cards. That can include setting alerts for spending too much in a specific category (like on groceries), transaction types like ATM withdrawals or spending in a physical store, and even geographical limits to help reduce credit card theft.
These controls can be set and forgotten or activated for a short-term. The abilities here are endless and give you tons of control over your cards. Here’s an example just to get your brain juices flowing. You have a teenager who is going to prom, and you want to pay for their night because they’re a good kid. You can set limits on how much they can spend, where they spend it, and even what they are buying. Rather than having to check the account every five minutes to see what is being spent, you can prevent or set alerts for transactions.
Redeem Rewards Points
You may or may not know about Rewards, which is one great perk for members with a Pioneer VISA Platinum Credit Card or a Reward U Checking account. If you have one or both of these products, every time you spend money using a credit or debit card, you are earning points. With these points, you can redeem them for gift cards, merchandise, airplane fare, hotel stays or gift it to charity.
To access rewards through myPioneer, go to your Cards page, click on the three dots, then select “View/Redeem Rewards Points”. From there, you can see and use your rewards points anyway you wish.
Video Chat with a Team Member
Within myPioneer Mobile Banking, you can video chat with a Pioneer team member Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. You can do this too on desktop, just not through the app but on our myPioneer Personal Assistant webpage.
It easy and convenient to talk to a team member whenever you have a question or need help with something. You can even open new accounts or apply for a loan over the service. All you have to do is tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen and select "Video Chat."
No More Paper Statements
Tired of monthly paper statements from Pioneer cluttering your drawers and counters? Not sure if you are supposed to shred it, throw it out, or keep it forever? There’s no need to worry about it!
By signing up for eDocuments in myPioneer, you no longer get paper statements but instead it is all stored digitally. That means you can access your monthly statements and other important documents from anywhere you have an internet connection. Plus, Pioneer stores these documents for a long time, meaning you can check previous months when needed.
Check Your FICO® Score
Curious about your credit score or thinking about getting a loan? You can easily check your FICO credit score right in myPioneer! Just select "FICO Score" under "Additional Services" and see how you are doing.
It also gives you a few items that might be negatively affecting your credit score and suggestions on how to improve it.
