Furlough Assistance Program

With the government shutdown, we understand our members' financial concerns. Pioneer has a Furlough Assistance Program to help out members who are federal employees, with their financial obligations if the need arises. The program has many options, and can be tailored to meet our members' individual needs.

A few examples include:

  • Utilize our Skip-A-Pay option on existing Pioneer loans with no fee.**
  • Obtain a 'Just in Case' Signature Loan, up to the amount of your monthly net income, with rates as low as 4.99% APR.*
    • Maximum 48-month term.
    • No payments for 90 days.
    • Pioneer will waive the $49 doc fee.
    • Furlough loan options can be utilized for three (3) consecutive months, with monthly incomes being loaned per month or extended furlough for a maximum of three (3) months. Furlough assistance will stop being offered when the furlough ends. 
  • Defer up to two months of existing Pioneer loan payments with no fee.**
  • Utilize our free service, GreenPath Financial Wellness, to help organize your finances so you can explore more and worry less.

*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. All loans on approved credit. Your rate may vary based on credit history. Verification of furloughed status is required to be eligible for the loan programs.
