Our History

Our credit union began in 1954 as the Civilian Employees Federal Credit Union. Years later, our name changed to the Mountain Home Air Force Base Federal Credit Union to better reflect our membership.

Only five years after our founding, the decision was made to add the first permanent office. Located on  Mountain Home Air Force Base, the branch was a small trailer which was open five days a week between the hours of eleven and two.

Since then, we have grown to 14 branches with more on the horizon, and 50,000+ members. Many changes have taken place, but our mission remains the same - to ignite lifelong partnerships, member success, and strong communities through "WOW" service. Our commitment to partnering with members to help them find success is a tradition that dates back more than sixty years.

We provide innovative, simple, and cost-effective financial solutions. At Pioneer, we strive to provide "WOW" service, as was intended at our founding in 1954.
