Identity theft is a constant threat for everyone. Most people assume that it could never happen to them, until it does. Anybody could become a victim, and that's why Pioneer has put in place additional measures to safeguard your account and our financial institution. That means your accounts are safe from the effects of identity theft, including credit report fraud and other types of account fraud.

Fully-Managed Identity Recovery - How It Works

Simply contact Pioneer, and a representative will verify your information and securely submit your case to a Personal Recovery Advocate. 

Our trained and certified identity restoration professionals can take the following steps to help you and your loved ones, depending on your unique identity theft situation.

  • Assist you with the placement of fraud alerts at the three major credit bureaus
  • Provide access to credit reports from all three bureaus and review the reports with you to identify fraudulent activity
  • Assist you in completing an Identity Theft Affidavit and Declaration of Fraud to establish your rights as a victim
  • Activate credit monitoring during your recovery to help you watch for additional signs of abuse
  • Contact the Social Security Administration, U.S. Postal Service, Department of Motor Vehicles, etc. as application, to address any misuse of official documentation of your identity
  • Research and document all fraudulent transactions and false accounts or contracts signed with creditors, banks, utility companies, leasing agents, medical facilities, etc
  • Follow up to make sure all wrongful activity is reversed and removed from your records
  • Work with local and federal law enforcement to try to stop the criminal or criminals who are using your identity
  • Activate other members of the recovery team to assist when necessary, including professional investigators and legal advisers. Click here for a general overview of this process
  • Provide 12 months of follow-up after your recovery is complete - to be sure you stay recovered

To offset the cost of security measures, a service charge of $1.99 per month will be debited from your checking account to fight identity theft and fraud. It will appear on your statement as "ID Theft Protection."

Term Life Protection

During a visit to the hospital, your only concern should be getting better. Sadly, hospital visits, whether it’s an hour in the ER or a week in a bed, can get expensive, meaning you might be more worried about money rather than healing.

Pioneer members have access to a Hospital Accident Insurance Plan (HAP) that can supplement your current health insurance. HAP pays you cash for every day you spend in a hospital that is due to a covered accident.

The cash benefits of HAP includes:

When You Can Enroll


You can enroll for Medicare during your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP), which begins 3 months before you turn 65 and last three more months after your birthday month. 

Enroll in Medicare during your first three months of your IEP. Waiting too long may lead to delayed coverage after turning 65.

Learn About Original Medicare


Medicare is made up of two parts, Part A and Part B. These parts are provided by the federal government. 

  • Medicare Part A: Part A helps cover costs of inpatient care from a hospital or similar healthcare facility. Most citizens get Part A without paying a monthly premium
  • Medicare Part B: Part B helps cover outpatient care like doctor visits and preventive screenings. Part B premiums are determined on when you enrolled in Medicare and your income.

Consider Private Medicare Plans and Medicare Supplemental Insurance


If you are looking for additional coverage and benefits for your Medicare, there are private insurance companies that offer more choices.

  • Medicare Advantage (Part C): Advantage, also called Part C, is an alternative to Original Medicare. These plans provide the same coverage as Parts A and B, but may contain additional benefits, like dental and vision care, or coverage for prescription drugs.
  • Medicare Part D: Part D helps pay for prescriptions drugs. This coverage is not part of Original Medicare. 
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance: Supplement insurance plans (Medigap) help cover some out-of-pocket expenses that Medicare Part A and B doesn't pay. Plan availability may vary from state to state.

For those getting Medicare, coverage for prescription drugs is important and should be considered. That may mean enrolling in Part D, or getting a Part C plan with more benefits included.

You must be enrolled in both Medicare Part A and B before you can join a private Medicare plan or a Medicare supplement insurance plan.

Enroll With the Right Plan


You are automatically enrolled in Original Medicare, Parts A and B, if you are getting Social Security benefits when you turn 65. You'll receive your Medicare card in the mail before your birthday. 

If you aren't, you can enroll yourself at your local Social Security office or at Medicare.gov

 

Medical insurance is useful for keeping a majority of health bills away in case of a hospital stay, but there is likely some bills that aren’t covered. On top of that, you need to pay for everything else in life too.

Pioneer members have access to a Recuperative Care Plan that can add supplemental health insurance coverage. You can get paid directly for every day you spend in a hospital, either for an injury or sickness.

The cash benefits of a Recuperative Care Plan includes:

  • Pays $200 a day for sickness recuperation in the hospital
  • Pays $400 a day for approved injury recuperation in the hospital
