Spring Activities for the Stir Crazy and Isolated

Between quarantine, the winter cold pushing us to stay inside, and a touch of seasonal depression, a lot of people are looking to get out and connect with others this spring. Getting human connection, feeling the warm sun on your skin, and moving around are all great things.

As it warms up, Pioneer has some great spring activities to get you outside and moving to shake off the winter blues.

Pursue a New Outdoor Activity

From water activities like kayaking and fishing, to sports like golf, it’s a good time to try new things and have some fun.

For activities that require equipment that costs a bit of money, look at renting the gear first. There are plenty of places to rent stuff like kayaks to give it a try and see if you enjoy it. If it becomes something you want to pursue, then look at investing in your own gear.

If the first activity you try isn’t for you, that’s ok, try something different. What’s awesome about Idaho is there are many activities to do outside. Hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, fishing, and much more is possible here.

Take The Road Trip You’ve Been Talking About

As spring continues, the outdoors will start to blossom and turn green, making the drive that much more enjoyable.

There are tons of great places to visit in Idaho that aren’t too far away. Twin Falls has Shoshone Falls, definitely worth seeing. McCall is gorgeous in the spring, with amazing hiking trails to explore. Or head over to eastern Idaho and explore the Craters of the Moon.

Exercise Outside

It might seem simple or boring, but getting outside and exercising is a great way to enjoy the spring and feel better. Whether it’s just a walk around the neighborhood, going on a jog around the block, or taking a long bike ride, all of these are great for you both physically and mentally.

Plus, while exercising outside, you get the chance to see and talk to your neighbors and other people. Maybe you’ll join a nice walking group or find a new friend to go on bike rides with.

Safely Attend Outdoor Events

From larger events like the Western Idaho Fair to small local events in your community, there are many upcoming chances to be around other people.

Be sure to check the event's safety guidelines to ensure you’ll be safe attending. Things like requiring masks, maintaining social distance policies, and regular sanitizing of equipment are all great signs the event is taking your safety seriously.

Get Outside with a New Recreational Vehicle

There are tons of recreational vehicles that can get you outside and having fun, like dirt bikes, ATVs, motorhomes, motorcycles, boats, camp-trailers, and so much more! You could visit the many campgrounds Idaho has to offer, ride through the back roads in the wilderness, or take a nice float down a local river.

If you’re looking to purchase a new recreational vehicle, from motorcycles to motorhomes, Pioneer can help. Our RV loans cover any type of non-car vehicle you are interested in buying. That way you can explore the great outdoors in style!
