Shop with a Cop - December 7

Shop with a Cop is a non-profit organization that serves Elmore County. Their goal is to provide Christmas to families in need and build relationships between officers and the community. Each year, they provide the opportunity to around 120 children to shop with a cop, firefighter, or a member of the military, search and rescue, or the forest service. Each child gets breakfast from McDonald’s, a visit with and gift from Santa, and a shopping experience to buy a gift for themselves or a family member. Shop with a cop has helped 1,500+ families in 23 years.

This volunteer event is one of our favorites! We love being able to help kids enjoy the holidays!

We had a blast hanging out with Santa at a few of our branches to provide the community with the opportunity to take photos with the big man!

Christmas Families Shopping and Deliveries, December 17 and 18

Christmas Families is a give-back project coordinated by a handful of Pioneers who work with the Head Start program in Mountain Home. We’ve partnered together for the past 14 years to provide three to four families with Christmas gifts and a month’s worth of food. Fundraisers such as Jeans Monday, Soup Day, and a Dessert Auction are held by Pioneers to raise money each year.

Gifts for the kids include things they need and presents they would like. Many team members sign up to purchase these gifts with their own money. It’s a great opportunity to help families in need!

Miracle Marathon Day, December 20

For the third year in a row, Pioneer partnered with LITE FM for their annual Christmas Wish program which grants wishes submitted by members of the community for others in need. We had the wonderful opportunity to help grant two wishes on Miracle Marathon Day – a day in which the Christmas Wish team tries to grant 12 wishes in 12 hours.
